Product Updates
Product updates generally contain bug fixes or special features that have not yet been merged into a full product version. These updates are downloaded and installed on an existing installation of the base product. Please note the prerequisite base version and upgrade to that version before installing one of these updates. Version updates are free for existing users, so this is an opportunity to get the latest software.
GedStar Pro V3.1d
This installer updates GedStar Pro from V3.1 to V3.1d. The following fixes and new features are included in this update:
- Fixed: Processing some marriage-related events for Legacy Family Tree could cause the conversion program to terminate abruptly.
- Fixed: Internal photo exhibits from The Master Genealogist were not being converted correctly (only a few photos were converted, and all exhibits were using the same few photos).
- New: Full support for the one-handed navigation feature of Treo™ smartphones and the latest handhelds (specifically the T5 and T|X models).
- New: Support for displaying and searching for user-defined reference IDs as supported by specific genealogy programs.

Microsoft MDAC Updates
If you are using Legacy Family Tree and are getting messages about missing DLLs or ODBC errors, and you are not using Windows XP™, then you might need to install the latest data access components from Microsoft. You can use the link below to go to the page where you can download the MDAC 2.8 (or later) update kit, but this must be done strictly at your own risk.
