One-Handed Navigation
The newest devices from Palm – specifically the Treo smartphones, the T5, and T|X at the time of this
writing – support a new “one-handed navigation” feature that draws a blue frame around the active
control and then lets you use the 5-way button to navigate from one control to another, using the center
button to select the current control just as if you tapped it. GedStar Pro provides a basic level of support
for this feature in most of the dialog-box type windows such as Event Details, Source Citation, etc.
With this feature, using only the 5-way navigation control, you can select any of the standard or graphical
buttons in the dialog and either dismiss the dialog with the Done button or go to the next level of detail.
This feature will be expanded in future releases to support even more capability.
This navigation is not supported on the three main views, but the 5-way can be used to select items from
the lists as described in the previous section.
