Options Page
This page contains various options affecting the conversion.
The Research Log is a feature of The Master Genealogist and is also supported for Legacy Family
Tree as the “To-Do list.” Text exhibits are only supported for The Master Genealogist.
Note about GEDCOM text options: These options are necessary due to some programs that do
not follow the established GEDCOM standards.
Since a handheld’s screen is too narrow to show what would be a full line on a PC screen,
GedStar Pro generally concatenates lines instead of keeping the “line breaks” in the
original text. But if you have text that depends on things starting on a new line, then
check the box that says “Keep original line breaks.” Note that the text may still not look
quite right due to the way that it must wrap on the small screen.
If you look at your text and see that there are places where separate words from your text
are run together without a space, check the box labeled “Space between continuation
lines”. On the other hand, if you see spaces in the middle of words where they do not
belong, make sure that this box is unchecked.
