My GEDCOM file did not convert or caused an error message when being converted.
Make sure that you use the correct settings in your genealogy program when exporting the GEDCOM file: it must be in GEDCOM 5.5 format, with ANSEL encoding and Abbreviated Tags.
Can I upgrade to GedStar Pro?
Yes, but it has to be a paid upgrade. See the Product Upgrade page on the Store menu for details.
My converted database did not get synced to my handheld. Is there a way to transfer it without redoing the conversion?
Run the installer program that came with your handheld's software package. It is usually called "Install" or "Quick Install" under the "Palm Desktop" group. Click the "Add" button and navigate to the GedStar install directory (usually C:\Program Files\GedStar). You will see your converted database(s) there as files with a type of ".pdb". Find the one that you want to transfer and select it.
I use Legacy Family Tree with GedStar-Plus and am getting messages about missing DLLs or ODBC errors.
You might need to update your Microsoft "MDAC" Data Access components. See the Update Page for further details.
